As with all Smithbrook Iron Lighting the Baronial Range is handmade by British Craftsmen and wired in accordance with European standards. Inspired by a nostalgia for Britain's mythical mediaeval past.
The Baronial style became the dominant architectural style in Scotland from the middle of the 19th Century and a vast number of country houses were built in this style, they looked like medieval castles of old with towers, crow-stepped gables and turrets. The Baronial range emulates the candlelight of the authentic middle ages offering hugh metalwork chandeliers with ecclesiastical, and tracery detail so typical of this period.
